Friendly staff, really good location being just a short walk from the train station. Easy to find. Sens is beautiful. Shops and restaurant options locally. Lovely flower beds with three different colours of forget-me-nots. It just had a nice "feel" to it. I came back to the UK and said that if I ever decided to move to France it would probably be to Sens. However, with a cat, two dogs, three Cayuga ducks, 16 chickens and 18 alpacas plus a number of greenhouses, a move abroad would be just too challenging. I have some lovely river photos to remember Sens though.

Perfectly located in the heart of the beautiful old town of Sens with secure off street parking directly outside the reception of the hotel. Excellent staff, very clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast was again excellent with large buffet choice of hot and cold options. The town is charming and the hotel is a 10 minute stroll to the huge gothic cathedral in the centre where Thomas Beckett sought sanctuary until 1170 (when he returned to England and met his death in Canterbury Cathedral). The hotel is also a 2 minute walk from the River Yonne for a nice walk. I would highly recommend for an overnight stay. An easy 4.5 hour drive from Calais.

The location was perfect and the lady at Reception was amazing! She ensured that we could check in early, advised us about sights in town, and then helped us to find an open restaurant and made a booking for us. The room was clean and perfect.

Friendly staff. Great location. Beautiful room with spacious bathroom. Very comfortable bed . Breakfast was really good with a very large selection of foods, cheeses, baked goods, cereals and much more.

This splendid hotel must have undergone a complete modernization. The only hint was the residual circular stairways which had been supervened by the excellent elevator system. We were DELIGHTED, as our expectations were so exceeded. There is walled parking and we could see out car from our room. WE have NO reservations in recommending this hotel as absolutely perfect.

The hotel is in a gracious old building, conveniently situated for the station and the old city centre. The walk from the station, over the Yonne bridges and along the river is very pleasant. Our room was spacious and well-equipped.

Lovely breakfast to be in France fantastic, Very nice staff my car broke down and they got a garage to open just for me to solve the problem. I could continue my travel the next day Thanks Lovely area in France a river and a small charming town

All was well: very efficient reception, nice room, and a perfect location! Brackfast was ok, could be better though, but the main reason to chose this hotel was the location, and the confortable rooms.
